Benny A. Antonio:
Dear Kimo,
Where would you rank Manny Pacquiao if you were to make an all time top
ten lists of the hardest punchers in the featherweight and
superfeatherweight divisions ?
Kimo Morrison:
Of all time huh?...how about this...too make you happy and not roust the cage of any Pac-Haters out there, I would say he is the hardest southpaw of that division by pure heavy handed punching power...All time...would have to do some extensive research on fighters of yesteryear on that and get back to you.
DARRIL A. TABOADA:
If Erik Morales loss to Manny Pacquiao do you think he is
eligible to move to lightweight division? Do you think he has the power to beat
lightweight champ? What do you suggest on him? Should he stay in super FW or move
down to FW division?
Kimo Morrison:
If he loses here, and depending on how he loses I would say at the very least he stay at this weight but if he has NO trouble getting down another four pounds on a regular basis why not go back down to where he is MOST effective and dominate that division wholey and completely before attempting to move up again. I believe this is a good move up for THIS fight... for the fans who want to see this fight happen and for boxing all around showing that big fights can be made in short time with no interference if both fighters truely want to fight and money is not the main goal. Both of these fighters come from 3rd world environments, ANY money at this level would support their family for the rest of their lives so they are "content" with what is given and are willing to take it without being greedy like a lot of fighters from countries that are better off. It goes to show that fighting truely is in the heart and these men just want to fight. It also shows that these fighters are not
afraid to lose if they just give it all they have. Both men know that only one will leave the victor but both are willing to put records aside for they know that the outcome will be that of greatness no matter what. It is a win win situation for both men the way I see it.
Joey:
If Pacquiao defeats Erik Morales, which is very possible, and
stays at the Super Featherweight division, who do you think will post the
biggest challenge for him in that weight class? Thanks, Kimo!
Kimo Morrison:
In my opinion, I would say Marco Antonio Barrera! I think that he is a mighty warrior of the most adaptable kind and if given the chance to fight Pac-Man again will even the score with a UD and have always thought that from day one. I also think that Casamayor would offer a challenging match. The next tier up in weight if Pac decides to venture that direction is stack full of fighters that make a hard nights work for Manny as it is deeper with not only good fighters but GREAT ones both veteran and young alike.
Dendoy:
I think after this fight all questions will be answered... is
history against or with the pacman? But one thing is sure this fight will be
one of the greatest fights in the history of boxing... and after this fight... el
terrible will become el terrified!! For pacman has the power of almost 80
million Filipinos on his punches...
Kimo Morrison:
Well I guess there is no telling you one way or the other cause your mind is already made up. But I think that this fight offers nothing but the best for Pac. He will be praised if he loses valiantly for his courage in taking a fight at a weight against a fighter many thought too big to begin with and he will be praised if he wins for beating the third of four great Mexican warriors and in many peoples eyes the best of all four...(Oscar Larios being the fourth whom many thought Manny bypassed in his move up)
Unknown:
I think the outcome of the fight will be based on Erik
Morales' performance. We know what Pac will do. He will charge and hammer
away. That is his training and mentality. Everyone says that if Erik stands toe
to toe with Pac, he will lose. What then should he do? thanks.
Kimo Morrison:
He should use as much lateral movement as is still left in his battle worn body, and use his jab and arm length to no end. Mixing it up with some good lead uppercuts and hooks to throw Manny off and get him thinking instead of fighting. When Manny thinks, he gets caught standing there (or bobbing there as it is with his non stop upper body movement) trying to be a fighter that he is not...a patient chess player that can force his opponent to do things HIS way by setting up traps that are four maybe five punches or more deep. Last, he must tie up Pac EVERY time that kid gets in close! EVERY TIME! Get it? Now Pac has a tremendous versatility in arsenal WHEN the fight is at a very fast pace and he is on the forward advance. He seems to lose all sense of what he has as far as weapons when made to counter or back up. He is great but he is a simple minded fighter, not what I would call a genius technical fighter. Sounds confusing I know but if you know fighting you know what I am talking about.
Judge:
I am a Filipino but I think not all the Filipino believes
pacman`s ability coz he think EM is the legend but I think there's many of
pacmans wins. If he try his old tech. the body shot with the combo of headshot. God
bless pacman. Old friend
Kimo Morrison:
Okay,...I agree sir I think...
hamuh mahmad:
Manny will beat Morales black and blue!! And that's the surest
thing!!! Pacman will eat him alive. If he KOed Barerra 3 times during their
fight, Morales will suffer more knockdowns. And if ever he will save his pride
and fight till the ring bells, then Mr. Alzheimer will greet Mr. Morales
home...
Kimo Morrison:
I don't think it will be as easy as that and even though I am picking Pac to win this bout would not be blown away to see Morales come out the victor.
Kimo Morrison II:
You know man, you talk like shit, you even don't know how to
answer the question as simple as it is.. Go to bed little boy.
Kimo Morrison:
You must first ask a question...that is how this works and I don't talk LIKE shit, I talk a LOT OF SHIT! Sorry if you don't like it bradda, I just speak my mind that's all, if you are a man...that is what you do when asked a question, don't beat around the bush trying to make everybody happy because you are too much of a coward to stand behind your words. Not everybody can be the man that I am, I understand because you have not walked the road I have walked in life nor I yours but don't try to be somebody you aren't. This is one "little boy" you wont coax so easily into bed...and God help you if you ever tried!
Jonathan Dino:
I notice that in one day negotiation for Morales fight of
Pacman
instead of Marquez would say there is a protection of world title for
Mexican, they will not easily want lose their title as they know Pacman
is tough
fighter to easily lose their reputation, if we notice Marquez has
WBA/IBF while
Barrera has the WBC title. It's a logical reason and i know that Pacman
will
not come up to the Mexican title holder this year...it would go the
next fight
to the other fighter who want to fresh their name in boxing scene like
Harrison, Larios, Injin Chi. I would say it is next year fight plan to
the 2
Mexican fighter, as I believe. Why I have point for this because the
Marquez-Pacquiao 2 crumble and there is something annoying to Pacman
and this
fight for Morales in March is just a money concerns no title belt. It
is
impossible this year for Marquez and Barrera this year for Pacman as my
opinion
but who knows if Muhamad go for another miracle again for boxing scene.
Thanks!
Kimo Morrison:
Yes!!! Just what he said!!!
Cesar Tordesillas:
How come many Pacman haters are making a big deal about his KO
loss to to Medgeon 3K Battery in their WBC flyweight title fight in '99? Even
Kimo Morrison made references to this fight as Manny's "last legit
loss." It's time that every non-Filipino boxing fan realize that the loss was
due to Manny simply outgrowing the flyweight division.
Manny was only 19 when he became the WBC world flyweight champ and in
his defense against Medgeon he was something like 4 pounds over the
flyweight limit on the official weigh-in a day before the fight.
Unfortunately, his handlers made him undergo unnatural and bizarre
reducing techniques -- like spitting off his saliva to reduce body water. He
ended up dehydrated and he lost the WBC title on the scales a day before the
fight. Worse, he became too weak to fight on the day of the event. In fact, he
felt the sting of every blow thrown to him by Medgeon -- including the
wayward punches that landed on his elbows and arms.
Furthermore, it was not a head blow that KO'ed the Pacman in thje
Medgeon fight. Rather, it was a body punch that sucked up the last strength remaining
on his already dehydrated body.
But if the Pacman's in proper condition, he got the hardest chin in
boxing pound-for-pound. Just ask Juan Manuel Marquez. And this is the kind of
jaw that Morales will encounter on March 19. Thanks.
Kimo Morrison:
Ceasar, I understand EXACTLY why he lost the fight but thank you very much for giving everybody the long break down that I decided to bypass. That being said though it was a "legit" loss plain and simple...when you have a "L" in the catagory next to your name that means you lost. I said "legit" loss in the crass way of telling readers that I don't believe he was beaten or fought to a draw by one JJM. I think Pac was robbed of that victory...PERIOD!
Ronaldo P. Banaag:
If Manny "PACMAN" Pacquiao knockout Erik Morales, do
you think he will be considered as boxing's best pound for pound fighter.Or
he will just stay at top 3
Kimo Morrison:
He will just stay at top 5 in my book...now if he moves up to 135 and destroys a mess a boys in that division then we can talk again but until then, I still have a number of guys ahead of him for my own personal reasons having to do mostly with adaptability but that is why i hate the P4P debate cause it is really all a matter of opinion.
noe negapatan:
what will happen to morales career if manny pacquiao would
annihilate
him in just three rounds? Is there a possibility for In Ji Chi pacquiao
clash?I
want a dream match between mayweather and pacquiao because floyd fights
before
as a super featherweight,is there any possibility?just want to see that
showboothing to kiss the canvas when manny unload his punches.
Kimo Morrison:
I think the chances of a Chi fight are much more likely but I would expect that it would be MAB first then a step up to 135 if he beat Marco again and there he would have his hands full. I would never expect to see Mayweather move down again. I expect him to go up rather quickly if he is able to stay out of prison but I agree with you in the fact that I would as well like to see him kiss the canvas but I hope it is Gatti that unloads those punches.
