Interview with Oliver McCall
Ike Enwereuzor Jacboxing.com - 11/13/2004
Former heavyweight champion Oliver "Atomic Bull" McCall is expected to battle top heavyweight contender Darrvarryl Williamson on November 13, at Madison Square Garden, NYC.
Ike: Your impression of Darvarryl Williamson
McCall: I think he's a good journeyman fighter.
Ike: How long have you been preparing for this fight with Darvarryl Williamson?
McCall: I have been preparing for this fight for 6 weeks.
Ike: Describe your fight with Henry Akinwande?
McCall: Fantastic victory I KOe'd another former world champion.
Ike: Impression of all the heavyweight champs?
McCall: Ruiz is a great champion and very savy. Byrd is good too but he's the weakest of all the
belt holders.
Ike: Your thoughts on Lamon Brewster?
McCall: He's a blessed and lucky champion with a glass jaw. I think Kali Meehan won the fight with Brewster. I'll knockout any of the heavyweight champions out there. Lets make the fight.
Ike: impression of Vatali Klitschko?
McCall: Good champion but hasn't been tested. If given a chance to face him, I'll knock him out in
less than 5.
Ike: What's it like working with Don King?
McCall: It's good working with him. I'm looking for a title shot.
Ike: Your prediction on your fight with Darvarryl Williamson?
McCall: I'll knock him out in second round.
Ike: What can you tell us about your two fights with former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis?
McCall: As you know first fight I knocked him out. Second fight I wasn't mentally ready.
I had some personal problems but that's over now.
Ike: Your toughest professional fight?
McCall: I would say my fight with "Buster" James Douglas. His style was awkward and it was
just after his fight with Mike Tyson in Japan 1990.
Ike: Any comment to your fans?
McCall: Watchout "the Bull" is back. I'm going to knock Williamson out in 2.
